May 12, 2009.  The Lockerbie Second Appeal finally got underway on April 28th, 2009, amidst significant controversy.  Unfortunately Mr. Megrahi is terminally ill with cancer and consideration has been given to allow him to return to Libya under a prisoner exchange programme between the UK and Libya.  For a complete update, I recommend you visit Professor Black's blog.

20 years have passed since Pan Am 103 crashed over Lockerbie.  Abdelbaset Al-Megrahi has serious medical problems but wishes to remain in Scotland until his name has been cleared.
